saturday morning delivered me an idea about presidents day (monday)...why not...
one thing i like to do is once an idea arrives, pencil it...and see what it looks like...(my belief is 95% of the cartoon is done once it's penciled...)
i like to cartoon with a timer...20minutes to rough out & pencil...20minutes to ink...20 minutes scan/clean..etc...it respects the work ...
i enjoy inking and have learned just ink the pencil and get out of the way...
scanning and clean up are efficient and mindful...now it's time for the fun...
the coloring.... always a blast & then done...
it's a very rewarding love affair...
